There will lots of merriment, mulled wine and festive fun to get involved with, so make a day of it and take the family! After all, it’s the most wonderful time of the year…
What’s on?
There will be a Christmas Market with lots of yummy food and festive gifts available to purchase. Father Christmas and his Elves will also be stopping by to visit the children of Harpenden. And of course, once the sun sets, the famous Christmas Lights will be switched on.

What time?
- 12pm – 5.30pm Santa’s Grotto
- 12pm – 6pm Farmers’ Market
- 12pm – 6pm Charity Stalls
- 12pm – 6pm Young Enterprise Stalls
- 1pm Stage Entertainment
- 3pm Procession
- 5pm Lights Switch On
After the lights have been turned on, why not get a glass of mulled wine or a warming hot chocolate in one of Harpenden’s many pubs? We love the Oddfellows or the Cross Keys for a cosy, buzzing atmosphere. Or go for a spot of dinner at Zaza’s or Pizza Express and enjoy the lights from the warmth inside.
